Miralon Amenity Center

ORR Builders began construction April 2019 of the Miralon Amenity Center project located in Palm Springs California. Miralon was a new ground-up residential resort community. ORR contracted to construct and complete the Amenity Center consisting of 9.2 acres of common areas which includes seven buildings, site amenities and a complete array of site improvements. Buildings are designed and constructed with a “Retro” mid-century, Palm Springs look, inside-and-out. The Amenity Center theme, so to speak, is Olive tree farming and Olive oils. The amenity center is surround by groves of olive trees totaling approximately 8,000 which will be producing olives in the next few years. There are cart paths and walking trails through-out the groves.

The seven buildings of approximately 23,000 sq. ft. are as follows: Buildings 1R and 1L include the Cardio and Group Fitness areas, restrooms and other support rooms. Building 2 is contain the HOA offices and conference rooms. Buildings 3R and 3L contains the Hub which is a Grab and Go food and beverage and lounging area, the Club and bar area, prep-kitchen and additional restrooms. Building 4 includes the Demonstration Kitchen and Pavilion outdoor sitting area. Building 5 contains the pool equipment rooms, locker and restrooms.

Interior construction consists of a beautiful smooth finished drywall, multiple paint colors and many high end finishes to include custom acoustic ceiling systems, extensive use of ceramic tile flooring and wall treatments, polished concrete floors and stain grade wood cabinetry with integral stainless steel treatments and a combination of natural stone and manmade Quartzite tops. Exterior site amenities include two pools, spa, steel and aluminum cabanas, community garden area, two dog parks, bocce ball courts, BBQ and fire pit areas, three steel and aluminum shade structures, masonry site and planter walls and approximately 60,000 sq. ft. of decorative concrete paving.

In addition to constructing these new buildings and site amenities the project received a full complement of site improvements consisting of paved parking and drive isles, a complete package of curb and gutters and landscaping. All utilities including waste, water, storm drain, power, phone and low voltage services were brought into the site and distributed throughout the site as required.
