ORR Builders began the Demo portion of Martha’s Village & Kitchen Day Care Center Expansion project early February of this year. Expansion has begun and progressing well.. The Media Kick Off  ceremony was held on Tuesday, March 11th to announce the expansion or their facility and how it will better care for the children of those who have sought assistance from Martha’s Village & Kitchen and the programs they offer, such as career and education, cooling centers, food services, emergency services and children’s services. If you did not know, since 1990 Martha’s  Village & Kitchen is one of the largest providers of homeless and impoverished services in the Coachella Valley and Riverside County.

Sam Hollenbeck, President/CEO of Martha’s Village & Kitchen is thrilled that the expansion will increase their childcare capacity from 55 to 102. Rosa   Verduzco, COO said the expansion will give parents the assurance in knowing their children will receive high-quality care  to grow and develop in a safe and supportive environment, while allowing them to work.

Board Member, Howard Lincoln, also a long-time supporter, gave a moving speech on the importance of the expansion of the Day Care Center and how Martha’s Village & Kitchen has helped so many for so many years and will continue in the years to come.
